In today’s post I’d like to show you how to create a simple ombre manicure: a black and white degrade design to which I added silver glitter.
I used the same method to do also the Ombre French Nails Manicure.
Here I show you how to do this design in simple steps:
- First of all apply one layer of base coat to protect your nails.
- Apply black nail polish on all your nails.
- Paint a white French tip with the nail polish brush.
- Apply white nail polish to a sponge (here I use a nail art sponge by Essence but you can use any sponge, preferably a makeup sponge).
- Remove excess nail polish from the sponge by tapping it.
- Press the sponge on to your nail, covering the whole nail tip with polish.
- Repeat the process until you are happy with the ombre fade nails effect.
- If necessary, you can clean up the skin around the nail using a flat brush dipped in acetone, sweep it around your nails to remove any polish and create a smooth line around the cuticle for a perfect finish to your ombre nails.
- Apply glitter nail polish where the two colors mix using a nail art brush.
- Apply a top coat to protect the design and make it last longer.
- You can apply some cuticle oil to moisturise the skin, if the acetone dries it out.
You can watch the video tutorial here:
Products I used:
- black and white nail polishes by Astra,
- glitter by Wet n Wild,
- top coat by Essence,
- sponge by Essence.
I hope you liked this design and you enjoyed the video! Have a beautiful week end!!
