In today’s post I’d like to show you how to create a simple ombre manicure for Halloween: a black and yellow ombre design with freehand bats. . This method is particularly easy because you do the ombre only on the tip and not on the whole nail. I often use this method to do my "Ombre Designs".
Here I show you how to do this design in simple steps:
- First of all apply one layer of base coat to protect your nails.
- Apply yellow nail polish on all your nails.
- Paint a black French tip with the nail polish brush.
- Apply black nail polish to a sponge (here I use a nail art sponge by Essence but you can use any sponge, preferably a makeup sponge).
- Remove excess nail polish from the sponge by tapping it.
- Press the sponge on to your nail, covering the whole nail tip with polish.
- Repeat the process until you are happy with the ombre fade nails effect.
- If necessary, you can clean up the skin around the nail using a flat brush dipped in acetone, sweep it around your nails to remove any polish and create a smooth line around the cuticle for a perfect finish to your ombre nails.
- Do the bats using a nail art brush and black nail polish or acrylic paint.
- Apply a top coat to protect the design and make it last longer.
- You can apply some cuticle oil to moisturise the skin, if the acetone dries it out.
Here there is the video tutorial I did for this design:
The products I used are:
- black nail polish by Astra
- yellow by Delys
- top coat by Essence
- sponge by Essence
I hope you like simple this nail art for Halloween. Have a beautiful weekend!
