Plaid Nail Design Tutorial: Black, White and Red on Pink Nail Art

Hi everyone!
In today’s post I’d like to show you how to create a freehand plaid nail art: a white, black and red design on pink nails. As you can see, this pattern is quite universal and you can make it in any colour combination you want! Also, plaid nails are perfect for the fall season!

To create this nail art you will need: 

• pink, white, red and black nail polishes, 
• a nail art striping brush,
• base coat and top coat.

Here I show you how to do this design in simple steps:

• First of all apply one layer of base coat to protect your nails and create a smooth surface to work on. 
• Apply pink nail polish on your nails. 
• Paint one white vertical stripe with a nail polish brush and white nail polish.
• Paint one white horizontal stripe over the vertical one.
• Use a striping nail art brush to draw fine red lines. Clean and dry your brush.
• Continue with fine black lines. Let dry well.
• Apply a top coat to seal and smooth the design.
